Should I buy my ticket directly with the Airline or a travel site?

Traveling sites like Expedia or Trivago are great when booking trip packages. They usually get discounts on Hotels and car rentals that will make your trip a little cheaper. Airlines will not give you a discount when purchasing just the flight. I recommend buying your ticket directly with the Airline. By doing so you may be able to choose, change or even upgrade your seats easier. Third party sites are not responsible for any Airline changes, including delays or cancelation, unless you buy an Insurance with them. Still, you have to deal with the insurance Company, not the airline if something like that happen.
