Have you ever tried to go to the lavatory, open the door, and someone is inside? This is not only embarrassing for you, but also for the lovely person you saw seated in the toilet when you tried to come in. ALWAYS lock your door. Also, when you lock your door there will be a sign outside that will tell everyone that the lavatory is occupied. Now you have all the privacy you need.
